First Shipment of iPhone Habis!!

Number of units arrived was smaller that we'd planned. Apparently there is a scarcity in the market!

Rather than flattening prices, they've actually stayed the same over at eBay if you add on the retail cost of IPSF unlocking.

We're waiting for the next lot. Hopefully more this time. So those of you who are on our list (you know ur selfs) and not had a call or email from us, you stay in line.

Will keep you posted.

iPhone Crack LIVE VIDEO

Watch this at Gizmodo.

We are their largest reseller. :-)

But this post is not about this impressive feat by a few soon to be multi millionaire techies who took up the challenge against Apple, rather it is our vocal thoughts on the puzzling behavior we observe with regards interest in this development in Malaysia and rest of the world.

There is a frenzy buying of these licenses around the world particularly on eBay.
But the is hardly a whimper in the reaction over similar posting of the identical item over at eBay Malaysia.

In Malaysia 2 No Reserve Auction listing, only 1 bid at RM1. Looks like this lucky guy may actually win, since that auction in going to end in about 24 hours. Even Kenny Sia hasnt popped in to make a bid :-)

On the other hand, over in the world outside, USD 90/license - 10 day listing of 100 license - snapped up in 36 hours!

Go figure!

Steve Jobs Slash Prices of iPhones in Malaysia!

I know, I know!! Sensationalization!! (is there such a word?!) Misleading headline!! Guilty as charged!! More so, since Apple does not ship iPhone to Malaysia yet!

However the headline is partly true. See related article by blogjunkie at myMacBUZZ, they are guilty of UNDERSTATING their headlines:-) Missed the number by a factor of 10. 90M became 9M whilst we would have "screamed" 900M instead. :-) Read our comments there.

Right after we did our number crunching, Steve Jobs threw a spanner our way and force us to write off the value of our current stock in hand and in transshipment by USD100. We'll have to find a way to claim the rebate from Apple too.

Nevertheless, we need to adjust our prices given that prices on eBay will start to decline.

So I guess that's good news for you! To those of you who already placed our orders with us, be assured you will enjoy the price reduction - dont thank me, thank Steve.

Come back for regular updates!

We hope the USD 51 price tag with money back guarantee is attractive to you.

Yesterday, we brought he price for Unlocked iPhones below the psychological barrier of RM 2,998. Today we do one better for those tech DIY enthusiasts amongst you.

iPhone Pricing for Malaysia

We have been tracking prices on eBay and other competitors :-) As of this moment, the global pricing trend for SIM unlocked iPhones are:

eBay US
Lowest Buy It Now: USD 850 (4GB) and USD 1,000 (8GB) plus S&H
Highest Buy It Now: USD 1,150 (4GB) and USD 1,250 (8GB) plus S&H

Direct Online Resellers
Ex Singapore: USD 1,050 inclusive of S&H.
Note: Model not stated, probably 4GB.

S&H charges to Asia ranges starts at USD25 for US Postal Service, non tracked, non insured 2 weeks delivery. I have seen sellers quoting USD 125 for FedEx fully tracked fully tracked and insured, 2 days delivery.

Add on import duty of 10%, the lowest price you need to pay if you buy from any of these sources are USD 960 (RM 3,360) for the 4GB and USD 1,130 (RM 3,900) for the 8GB iPhones. Oh! At these prices, you need to wait about 2-3 weeks before you can touch the phone.

Although the phone is everything it is touted to be. See Kenny Sia's post on this!:-) After a few days playing with ours, we understand! But, that's still a lot of money to pay for a phone.

After some rigorous number crunching we think we can do better than that. We shall be offering for sale unlocked iPhones in Malaysia at RM2,998 (4GB) and RM3,688 (8GB) for single unit orders. If you collaborate with some friends and place order for multi units in a single transaction you will enjoy a rebate of between 5-15%.

So we hope to bring the joy and fun of the iPhone to you at an affordable price. If you have not done so already, register your interest with us today! (Read this post)

Hey dad, the iPhone is way cool...!

Hey dad, i'm playing with this application. It's AWESOME. Cool text
too. Smsing must be fun. You must be much faster now, you should be
much faster now. The only thing is that there is no caps lock. Either
that or i just can't find it. Ah well, it's a small matter. I can SO
imagine kids writing songs on their iPhone. The whole layout is MADE
for that sort of thing. I can imagine you ignoring this application
altogether...deem it as a waste of time or something. I appreciate it.
=)
